Stena Recycling starts a first initial collaboration with the Swedish Handball Association in connection with the Men's National Team's European Championship qualifiers and finals in the World Cup, which will take place in Egypt in mid-January 2021.
Handball is a popular sport in Sweden and the national handball team attracts large audiences and creates great commitment. The games are watched by millions of spectators, regardless of whether it is ladies or men who play. This, together with the values and work in sustainability that the Swedish Handball Association stands for, means that Stena Recycling chooses to become a sponsor.
- The Swedish Handball Association's clear work with sustainability and wise use of resources, responsibility, equality between the teams and not least inclusion make them an interesting partner for Stena Recycling, says Mattias Nilsson, Head of Sales & Marketing.
The investment initially involves getting to know the Swedish Handball Association and the two national teams, and will be seen in the form of exposure on the game shirts during the World Cup in Egypt and in social media and in the National Team's app - Gameday - where you can follow everything about the national team.
- To bring Stena Recycling into the handball family makes me very happy. I see it as proof that handball delivers on, and off the court, says Stefan Lövgren, CEO, Svenska Handbollslandslaget AB.
