On June 10-13, the world's first mixed golf competition will be played, where both women and men will participate in the same contest. Stena Recycling supports the historic competition as an official sustainability partner.
Never before have women and men met in the same golf competition on a professional level. This year, it's time to change that. From 10 to 13 June, the European Tour competition Scandinavian Mixed will be played at Vallda Golf & Country Club outside Gothenburg. Hosts are Sweden's best golfers of all time, Annika Sörenstam and Henrik Stenson. Stena Recycling is the official sustainability partner for the historic event.
- We at Stena Recycling are very proud of our collaboration with Scandinavian Mixed, where women and men compete against each other on the same terms for the first time in golf history. Gender equality and diversity are important parts of our sustainability work, and we are happy to be involved when historical steps are taken in this area, says Mattias Nilsson, sales and marketing manager at Stena Recycling.
In Scandinavian Mixed, the European ladies' best ladies and gentlemen meet. 78 men and 78 women compete against each other, on the same track, in the same competition.
- In Stena Recycling, Scandinavian Mixed has gained a national and internationally strong partner with a recognized strong brand. Stena Recycling's work in sustainability, together with us at Scandinavian Mixed, will raise our event and strengthen our position as an innovative event that is at the forefront of sustainability issues both socially and environmentally, says Claes Nilsson, Commercial Director Scandinavian Mixed.
