Stena Recycling continuously monitors the development of the Coronavirus, both internationally and nationally, and follows recommendations and guidelines from relevant authorities.

Our customers and employees are our highest priority and we have a dedicated crisis group that closely monitors developments and works closely with our management team. The overall goal for us is to take care of our employees, make sure the business is working and that we maintain a high level of service to our customers.

We are now entering a challenging market situation with a rapid slowdown in the industry. To address this and maintain a high level of service to our customers, we will take various measures, such as short-term permits. At the same time, we want you to continue to feel secure with our ability to best handle the needs of recycling services that you have. We do this by continuously following up and adapting the need for resources and efforts from us and our partners and subcontractors. We do our utmost to be close to you and to be attentive to the needs you have.

We take the following measures:

Prevention

  • We avoid business trips both abroad and domestically. We recommend and prioritize alternative meeting types such as online meetings, telephone etc.
  • For consultants, contractors, suppliers and visitors, you must not have any disease symptoms and must be symptom-free for at least two days to work / participate in meetings within the framework of Stena Recycling's operations.
  • If you have symptoms of sickness, you should stay at home and you must be symptom-free for two days before returning to the workplace.
  • Furthermore, general advice has been communicated as being careful with hand hygiene, sneezing in the arm fold and avoiding touching the mouth, nose and eyes. We avoid shaking hands, hugging etc.
  • Participation in major meetings, events, fairs and conferences should be avoided.

Visits to facilities

We have decided not to allow external visits to our facilities. Exceptions apply as follows:

  • transport to and from our facilities
  • representatives from authorities
  • business-critical entrepreneurs
  • business-critical visits that are not covered in the above
